Founded in 1959 by Ramiz Dani, there’s a reason Dani’s House of Pizza has been a Kew Gardens landmark for 61 years. Its combination of fantastic food, reasonable prices, and a welcoming, neighborly atmosphere make you feel right at home as you enjoy a bite to eat. Not to mention all the time we’ve had to perfect our slice.
Lefferts Blvd. has always been our home. From when we first opened in 1959 to today, we’ve been there for our customers and our community every step of the way, ready to provide comfort and sweet, cheesy goodness.
We reminisce about the 1960s, where we could get a slice and a soda for 25 cents. During the 1970s, we saw competition, but our slice was reigned king, prevailing over all other pizzerias in the neighborhood. In the 1980s, business boomed for everyone and we were joined by bars and restaurants all around. While our industry was hit hard in the 1990s, we held strong, thanks to our Queens roots and perfect pie. In the new millennium, we lost Ramiz, the heart and soul of our pizzeria, and his legacy and tradition are carried on by his son, Sabri.
Our special trademark sweet sauce is a family tradition which separates a Dani's pizza slice from the rest. We bake our pies at the perfect temperature in our meticulously maintained and monitored pizza ovens. The result is a pizza-eating experience beyond compare.
